Students will embark on a space adventure as they become astronauts wh0 crash-landed on an unknown planet; they will need to use python & robotics to survive.
This project-based STEM course immerses students in the fundamentals of coding as they program robots to perform tasks in a series of story-driven challenges.
Outcomes
Students will learn to program in Python. They will use functions, conditionals, loops, pointers, lists, comparisons, & introductory AI to command robotics to perform tasks. Ultimately, they will develop critical thinking & problem solving mindsets needed to pursue further careers in STEM.
The Innovation behind Space Adventure
Our space adventure course is truly innovative because of its abillity to harness play and use it to teach.
Utilizing engaging stories to drive curriculum, this course challenges & rewards students to play as they experiment with code, learn from mistakes, & improve their problem solving skills. This course is the core of what STEM education is all about.
Ages & Eligibility
This course is available in three distinct levels:
1. Elementary (grades 3-5) students. After school only.
2. Middle school (grades 6-8), students. After school only.
3. High school (grades 9-12) students. Saturdays only.
